16.2. Creating Your Own HTML Export Templates

This section contains a basic overview of the template creation process.

1. Create a subdirectory in the htmltemplating directory to be home to your template files.
2. Create a config.xml file to provide information about the template, the author, and the settings used by users to customize the template.
3. Create a root template to serve as the starting point for the export process.
4. Create additional template files, custom functions, and resources necessary.

The next few subsections will cover these four steps in greater detail.
