ZxApp IT allows you to create, format, organize, and store rich text
documents into a hierarchical collection, as shown in Figure 5.1. This
is a screenshot of the ZxApp IT Main Window in its default
configuration. On the left side of the screen you will notice the
navigation tree. Users create rich text documents that are
hierarchically associated with one another. Each document is referred
to as a node. When a node is selected in the navigation tree, the
associated document is presented on the right side of the screen. Nodes
can be added, removed, renamed, and moved. In addition, individual
nodes can be password protected, as discussed in detail in the section
titled "Password
Protecting Data".
When creating links, it is important to understand the difference
between a Node, a File, and a Document. A Node is another document
within the hierarchy of the current organizer. A File is a reference to
a file in the local file system. A Document is one or more versions of
a file, managed by the ZxApp IT Document Manager. Documents are
embedded into the organizer, and are thus a safer way to ensure that
important documents are never lost. Images, likewise, can reference a
file, a URL, or a Document. See the section on Images
and Attachments" for additional details.

To rename a node, right click on it and select "Properties...".
Alternately, the Node Properties Dialog box can be selected by
double-clicking on a node. Change the name of the node in the Node
Properties Dialog box and click [OK].
To move a node, right click on it and select "Move Node". A Move Node
dialog box will appear, as shown in Figure 5.3 shown below. Use this
dialog to select the location this node should be moved to. Once the
new node is selected, there are three buttons from which to choose;
Select as Sibling Before - This makes the node to be moved a
sibling before the node selected in the Move Node dialog box.
Select as Child - This makes the node to be moved a child of the
node selected in the Move Node dialog box.
Select as Sibling After - This makes the node to be moved a
sibling after the node selected in the Move Node dialog box.
